all of a sudden when my rabbit was in the middle of eating/chewing his pellets, he started chewing with his mouth wide open making these weird noises for a few seconds maybe 2 times in a row and then go back to eating reguraly.

why did he do this??

i watched it. that isn't really what my bunny was doing. it looked like he was having trouble when he was eating the pellets

Rabbits are weird, but individually so.

Like delicate snowflakes, no two buns are alike. Well, that is, if you can imagine snowflakes that eat their own poop.

LOL

Has the strange behavior happened again? If not, it could have been a yawn, or who knows what but nothing to worry about. If so, it could be a tooth problem.

My bunny recently stopped eating her pellets, but she'll still eat hay, veggies, fruits
Were the pellets getting old? Have you tried a different brand? Rabbits really need pellets to get all the nutrition they need, even if it's just a tablespoon daily.
