Wow I feel like everyone's posting bunny ear problems. Why not me too right?!

So I know its normal for bunnies to get a bit of wax in their ears from time to time, but I'm curious ohw normal it is for a good amount to be visible. I had a bunny this past year who had a terrible ear infection and I ended up losing her. Out of paranoidness I think and curiousity, I looked in Ripley's ears with this flashlight and saw some yellow in both. Should I clean it off or let him just scratch it out? Its probably normal-frankly I've hardly ever looked down their ears except when Jelly had her infection.

I personally wuld not clean rabbit ears myself. While the vet is cleaning them he can also check your bunny for any additional issue like mites or infections.

But is it fine for there to be a bit of wax in there? Didn't freak me out too much, but I'm over-paranoid especially after my other bunny having her ear infection. He doesn't seem bothered by his ears, so I didn't have any huge plans of taking him in, if its not totally necesary.

As long as it's not excessive, dark, crusty, or stinky I wouldn't worry about it. During the next check-up mention it so it gets cleaned out, but they get ear wax just like people. As long as it's not infected or have mites or anything you are better off leaving it alone. If you clean it wrong it can push the wax down and impact the drainage, setting him up for an infection.

...and that I don't want to do. The one thing is his next check up=spring probably when he goes in as we'll be getting him fixed then. (he's an outside bunny, I don't want to stress his respiratory system going in and then out into cooler weather again)
