Has anyone read the book, Bunnicula? I'm currently teaching it to 6th grade remedial readers, and they love it! It's about a vampire bunny :)I had not heard of it until my mentor teacher suggested it for this unit--I guess it's a series, too!

I love Bunnicula! The stories (I think there are 3 or 4 books) are so cute. I read them when I was little, then again a year or so ago. I have to admit, when I read them at the age of 7 or 8 I didn't understand that Bunnicula came from Dracula- I pronounced it bunny-cool-uh.

i got it from the library, but then got busy and had to take it back before i got to read it:D

isn't there a forum member whose handle is Bunnicula?

It was a super book! I think the author's name was James Howe?
I loved the old dog.. think his name is Harold? ( I loved Howliday Inn too :) )

(Isn't it sad I still know all this after 10 years :D)

My daughter loves the book. She has only read the little kid version for about ages 4-7. i just found out recently they have them in chapter books for older kids. I can't wait to read them lol

My son got this book when he was in 4th grade and hasn't read it. My daughter (4th grade) is interested in it but I was going to read it before she did. Is it scary at all? She doesn't do scary well.

We finished the book yesterday--it's a neat story. Now I'm going to buy the rest of the books to read :)

Kirsten, the 6th graders and I didn't find it to be very scary, just suspenseful.
