I'm starting to wonder just how much information can be communicated from one rabbit to another? :?

Houdini and Cinderella live upstairs. Ghirardelli and Rebecca live downstairs.

Houdini has a history of living up to his name and breaking out of his room. Ghirardelli would take advantage of the cats knocking over the baby gate to run upstairs to "chat" with Houdini. They would just sit and stare at each other. Now Ghirardelli has started to use the same break out techniques as Houdini!

Is it coincidence, or did Houdini tell him how to get out? :?

I think I'm going to give up and have all four in one room. Heaven help me with the two boys working together, but they seem intent on playing together. :rollseyes

I used to have 2 pairs of bunnies and would let all 4 run around in a bunny-proofed room. The males were neutered and the females weren't, but they all got along and would groom each other and cuddle up. I didn't trust them to live long term in a cage as a quad, but they did get daily run around time. Just as long as my unspayed females didn't try to go into each others' cages everything was fine. I also didn't ever have pellets out, just a few litterboxes with hay in it and a water bowl.

The unspayed females, Lexi (broken black) was dominant and Charlie (tri color) was very submissive.

Sooo maybe that means there's some hope for you too!

Yep, they do! Layla has learned if she stares at me long enough while balancing on her back legs I have to pet her/pick her up. And if she's out on the couch/bed with me and starts nibbling at the ground it means she has to use the litterbox! Only 3 months old and everyone says she's smarter than my meatheaded black lab, haha.

Thanks Kim! I will see how they do tonight in neutral territory. They are all fixed so I think that will help. Your babies are so cute together!

They have all gone to the pet store in one shopping cart so I know that there's no strong hatred there, so that is a good thing. Perhaps we will go shopping first to get them started on the bonding process. I love taking them shopping! :)

They LOVE going to the pet store! I put a little blanket in the bottom of the shopping cart so their feet don't get stuck in the holes. The store manager at the little local place I go now knows them all by name and will come over to talk to them.

I will let them pick out treats and what kind of hay they want. I put two at a time down for their consideration- they sniff and nose bonk which one they want. Becky is the best at making her choice clear.

They also love having people pet them, the new smells and sounds. It's so cute how they perriscope and look all around. They have happy ears and look very curious so I am pretty sure they are having a good time. :)
