We have a big pond. It's a real pond, not a small one made for koi and fancy fish. Anyway, while going out to try to see the koi (who are huge!), we noticed the bank "moving". Went over, and there were HUNDREDS of baby bullfrogs. We've always had a couple, but this is the first year we've had hundreds of babies. They're cute!! And everywhere!

No, I said:foreheadsmack::sigh: that I wouldn't kill some animals for food, would leave that to people with less sensitivity. Fish & amphibians are fine when caught in the wild. They aren't given names & treated like pets while their offspring are to be meat.

The little green floaty leaves in the water are duckweed; I keep that in my fish tanks! They love to nibble on it :D Pop it in a fish tank and it multiplies like crazy!

Oooh so those are American Toads? Hmm Interesting. I know I have a few bullfrogs (I think) that are around my complex.

Now are these toads native or introduced like bullfrogs? They are really cute :)

They're native...apparently crossing from Panama when there was still a land mass. I spent a few hours out on the bank of the pond, listening to their "music". :)
