I have to genuinely admit to myself that at least two out of Ember's litter must not have inherited the dwarfing gene:( I am actually a bit upset about it as she only had 3 and both parents are not bad type. I don't intend to repeat this particular breeding again but I am wondering w how to advertise the offspring (obviously pet only). I don't even know how big they will become. Stupidly enough I've also rung them and I am worried now the ring may end up being too small once they grow up.
What does a BUB or BUD look like once mature? Do they resemble Netherland Dwarfs at all?

One of my nethies is probably a BUD. She is max 3lbs, still tiny for a bunny. I know others have some big nethies on here that don't reach more than 4lb. If they have the tiny ears too, you can just advertise them as pet or brood-quality nethies, and if they have bigger ears, I'd just call them pet dwarf bunnies, you can say they're nethie, but probably aren't brood quality (right?). BUDs can make good brood does, or breeding bucks, since they don't throw double dwarves, if you are concerned about that. I know some nethie breeders prefer to use them in their breeding program, provided they have other good types, so they don't have the unviable double dwarves.

BUDs are good broods as they are bigger and the chances of having peanuts in the litter is reduced. BUBs are usually sent out for pets.
