I decided to make a blog for Buddy and Roxie's bonding process even though this is about the 2nd or 3rd month....:disgust:
The first week of bonding we did it in the bathroom. They were really good with eachother and didn't fight at all. Roxie would occasionally groom Buddy but not much. We started putting banana on Buddy's head and she would lick it off. She then started grooming him more and more.
As the weeks progressed we moved them to the downstairs bathroom and they started doing excellent. Roxie would always groom Buddy! It was sooo cute and then she would do a DBF right on top of him with her head on his, occasionally giving him licks while lying down. :hearturing those weeks Buddy even groomed Roxie 2 or 3 times. (Buddy doesn't lick... he has only licked me once... and then he ran away!) But Roxie, on the other hand is a licking machine! She licks EVERYTHING. If you go into her cage she will literally give you a bath. :hearts:
Buddy and Roxie started doing so good that we moved them into the backyard where they are everyday to do bonding. They were OK. Ocasional licks, but no fights at the start. They would occasionally get into small fights in the back yard. We put in a toy that they both loved and they did good with it. When the toy was in, they never got into any fights. :bunny24
We then moved them onto the grass. This didn't go well. They got into fights but nothing serious. I clapped my hands and they seperated. Once or twice my dad had to use a broom. :shame
We are now going back to the bathroom. We did a bonding session yesterday in the bathroom and it was great! Within 20 seconds, Roxie was grooming Buddy. She hasn't groomed Buddy in a while. Roxie groomed Buddy for about 5 minutes straight. Probably making up for the time that she hasn't groomed him! Don't bunny tongues get tired? :tongue
I will post more info on tonight later! ... and maybe some pictures!
