So I had checked on Bubbles as soon as I woke up.. and various times through the night.. and no babies... I just went in and checked on her about 10 minutes ago.. and she was in the middle of kindling!!!! OMG!! How amazing.. I may sound dumb when I say this.. but I almost cried!! All four are moving around and breathing nicely. I havent checked them all over yet.. but moved them to the next box I gave them. They are SOOOO cute!! I love them already. THey are all pink in color. This is excited.. I wanted to take pics.. but my cell isnt charged enough to get the pics! :( but there will be time yet. I will get it on the charger asap. I will go in and check on them in a few minutes to be sure they are okay.. and that Bubbles is okay. She quite happily took the carrot I offered her.. I will check and make sure there arent anymore.

They are all pinkish color with a few dark spots on them. So I am assuming that they will all be white with spots? Pics to come in a couple hours!!

SO, I ended up taking a few pics with the camera off of my computer.. but they didnt work out very well. I am attaching one pic of one of the kits.. a little greyish looking one.

These little guys are SOO darn cute. I checked on them a couple times, to make sure they were okay.. and they were sleeping until I went to pick one up for a photo shoot. then the squirmming began. Cant wait until my husband gets home with the phone charger so I can get better pics.

Awwww, just toooo bad that you aren't excited. lol I would be too. Waiting for those photos.

I wasnt too excited before.. I think I was just trying not to get my hopes up.. since my last litter didnt make it. But now that they are here.. OOOH, I dont think I could be more excited. I have checked on them a couple times already.. they seem to be staying nice and warm!! and all seem healthy to me.. really squirmmy!! Bubbles is doing fantastic as well. She hasnt once tried to stop me from checking on them. I will leave them all alone now, with the occasional peek to make sure they are still okay. Will check on them again tonight before bed.

Now a question.. how long after kindling will the mom nurse them? Just curious..

She nurses them usually once or twice a day and if you track it you will notice its at a set time!
Oreo nursed hers once a day everyday between 5:30pm and 6:00pm.

She might not nurse them today because she kindled...

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont let pink fool you! I had 2 pinks and 1 all black. The pinks slowly turned into the gray babies I have and the black was just black. The darker spots on your babies mean they are broken colored! YAY!!!

I am so happy for you! I know how bad you wanted this! :) :) :) :) :)

*Happy dance!*

Yes, I have wanted this to happen SOOO badly.. and for a while, I was thinking that this was the last time I would do this..because it is so hard to wait.. but now that they are here.. and all doing so well .. so far, we will definitely be having more litters!!

All the babies are already spoken for. One little girl has been waiting for a bunny since the first time Bubbles was pregnant.. she will finally get her bunny she has been waiting for!! And then a lady I know in the next town over wants two.. and my cousin possibly wants one.. but I really wanted to keep one of the babies. but thats okay.

I have since opened up the cage to let her have free run of the room they are in. That way she isnt stuck in there all day.

I was just so amazed that I walked in while she was kindling. It goes super fast!!

I think I may breed my other doe in a couple weeks. Both the doe and buck I used this time are broken colored, so I figured the kits would be broken as well.

More pics to come later on!
Now taking the kids out for ice cream to celebrate! They are so amazed with them to!

Oh congrats and very cute!! I would think it would be an amazing experience. I don't blame you for being excited :)

I'll be watching for more pics!

Checked on them again.. maybe I better stop now. Still all really good and warm. Sleeping like logs now.. kinda.. well they probably were before I went in haha.. You think I should leave Bubbles cage open for her now since the kits are in her cage? Then she can go in as she pleases and to feed them? That way she doesnt stomp the or anything?

Congrats!!! Whoo hoo! So cute! Yes, they should be white with spots :) Send more pics!

AWWW they are soo cute.. thank goodness I have you guys to chat with about this.. my husband is at work..and all i have here are my kids haha.. everyone else works during the day. Sorry if I talk about them too much.. I am just super happy they are finally here.

Talk away! Thats what we're here for :)

I would leave the cage open, gives her a chance to get away for a bit. When they become mobile she's going to need it. I checked the babies twice a day. Morning and night. I didn't really have to though, it was more for me than for the kits, Oreo had it all under control.

Do you think it would be bad if I pick them up a cuople times a day? I picked them up a few times today already. But I had to!! It was like they were calling my name haha.. Actually, I picked them up once after they were born to check on them..and make sure they werent missing anything.. and that they were all good. Then I picked them up so my kids could see them, then again when my husband got home.. Not all of them.. just one each time. I havent gone in there now for a while.. and will just check on them just before bed..and then once in the morning. I just worry too much I guess. Will do the twice a day thing for now.

GO for it! I held my babies when they were very young, just don't hold them constantly in case it stresses out your doe. twice a day is great, and you can check on them as often as you like, just try to avoid checking on them early in the morning, in case she's nursing.

Good luck and talk away, we'd all love to hear updates and see pics!! :)
