First of all, I am not a breeder so takeeverything I say with a grain of salt. I am not sure how olda doe is when she is physically unable to breed. I do knowsome of the members here retire their breeding does at around 3 yearsof age. This is because breeding is taxing on a doe and, aswith other mammals, complications arise when breeding olderanimals.
10 kits is a lot, but not unheard of. It kind of depends onthe breed. Some will usually only have 4 or 5, othersmore. Recently there have been two litters of 12 here.
