Edit- alright, so the pics aren't that big. They looked huge on the preview, though. XD

The workers at the pet store told me that a breeder had a litter with 20+ kits- I'm wondering if he meant multiple litters that totaled 20, or if there really were 20 babies from one doe...anyway. I was also told that they are "Harlequin dwarfs" (which he explained was harlequin x Netherland), but I do know that they don't look like any Netherland dwarfs I've ever seen and they don't have the tortoiseshell-ish color that I saw when I googled "harlequin rabbit".

Apart from the obvious red-eye my camera's flash gave him, Bally seems to have ruby eyes- at least one. My guinea Annie is a lilac/cream rex x abyssinian, and she has ruby eyes, so I suppose it has to do with a black/chocolate dilute color like blue or lilac (respectively)?

And then Toby- no clue at all what he is. He's bigger than Bally, too.

Apart from just being mixes I'm not really sure of their breed but they don't look anything like nethies to me.As for colors Bally is a magpie and Toby is a broken orange. Both adorable

I don't know about the breeds, they're pretty obviously mixed, but colors I can help with.

The top is a magpie harlequin. Doesn't have good bands, which is why theres all the scattered colors, but definitely a result of the harlequin gene. =D

And the second is a broken orange.

I can't tell you about the ruby eyes. I don't think it's tied into dilute, since my sable points and sables have ruby casts. And the himis, black blue chocolate and lilac, all have ruby eyes.

Thank for the information and the compliment! :bunnydance: I didn't think I'd get any breed specifics, though I guess that's what I get for not buying from a breeder. :p

Edit: "Oh well" about the ruby eyes/dilutes theory I had going on, then.

Everyone here is so quick to be helpful, it's amazing! o.o

There are actually a number of colors in rabbitsthat have a ruby glow to the eye (shadeds/chocolate).

In guinea pigs, the REW eye on a colored pig is due to the pink eyed dilute gene - very rare in rabbits. Shown here on my site: http://www.nockrabbits.com/lutino.html
