I tryed tobreed my Holland lops and mini satins today. The holland lops did what they're suppost to but when i put the Daisy in Palo's cage they didn't do anything palo just started eating his food and Daisy went in palos wood box and lay down.

WHAT!:?:confused2:how can i get them to breed . I checked to make sure they were both correct gender.

Is the buck old enough?? Does he haves hes balls dropped or went up inside?? When its cold they will hide their junk,

I would check the doe's vulva. Usually if it is a dark pink/reddish color, they are usually willing to breed. The buck may have just known she was not "ready". Has he bred before? Sometimes it can take them a while for bucks who have never bred to "get the idea" too. And, are they inside or outside? Rabbits usually breed in spring when there are long hours of daylight, so I recommend keeping lights on for 14-16 hours a day to "fake them" into breeding. I did this 2 weeks ago, and successfully got 2 out of 3 of my does to breed and palpated them both with positive pregnancies! Good luck!

I am going to share a little trick I learned...
Try switching the buck and doe around for a day, put the doe in the bucks cage for 24 hours and the buck in the does cage for 24 hours, bring the buck back to his cage...if she is old enough to breed she will usually breed right away when the buck is put back in his territory.

Bunnychild, my rabbits have been on strike all summer. In the past 6 months I have had 2 litters born (out of 20+ breedings of 17 breedable rabbits)(both born in the past 2 months) sometimes the does just want time off. Plus my bucks went sterile from the heat.
