I've been quilting for about 25 years now and I've lost count of how many I've made. This one took me slightly over a year to make. I can usually do one big quilt and a couple of baby quilts or wallhangings a year. I'm always working on something.

This picture isn't much closer, but it's a little clearer:

Each little piece in the picture is a separate piece of fabric cut to shape and appliqued on the background. The leaves on the trees and flowers are all silk ribbon.

Can you see the rabbits on the bottom?

My mom is supposed to make me a mariners compass quilt eventually...I love the pattern!

Thank you I did it my senior year, I know I can do alot more. I have several things I have made just not big. I can knit blankets, I can sew most anything.

I hand applique and hand quilt - no machines here!

Jadeicing - your quilt is very pretty; I like the colors. You should try some applique work - I think you would enjoy it. The nice thing about hand quilting is that you can carry on a conversation or watch TV while you're doing it.

I plan on having a sweing area as soon as we have a house. Right now no where to do a big project.
