I didn't escape from the horrible white lines though. :grumpy:

I'm getting them bleached next week, so I hope that helps a little bit.
It was almost worth all the pain and money. (But not really.)
My teeth were not that bad to begin with.
But now they're pretty much perfect, with the exception of the discoloration.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the retainers off my teeth when I need to eat. I've got the plastic kind made out of that invisiline plastic.

Oh well. One good thing about all of this, is that I can now deal with dental pain a lot better than I used to. :biggrin2:

I just need to remember how to smile again. :?

I had braces on from September 2004 toFebruary 2008. I now just have to wear the retainers at night. I have the plastic one for the top teeth as well. I just have to reach in behind the teeth and pop it out.

Congrats!!! I had braces for two years (and $5,000 later, lol). I got mine off when I was 44 years old. I, also, had my teeth bleached. Money well spent.....I love my teeth. Yours look great!!

I'm so scared I'm break these stupid retainers. And they are $300 to replace!

So glad I'm going to school for dental hygiene. I'm gonna be rolling in the dough!:p

Don't worry about breaking the retainer. I've had mine for going on 6 years and it's hanging in there. I suppose you could stomp on it with hob-nail boots.............

I think I've got it pretty much figured out. I don't have many teeth left in my mouth, so it's easy to put my fingers behind my molars and pop them off. They were just really suctioned to my teeth earlier and I was scared to push too hard.

I can pop 'em off now though when I have to eat and brush and what have you.

The Ortho lied to me! I asked him if the retainers would hurt like when I first got my braces and he said they wouldn't hurt at all. Tell that to my teeth right now. :grumpy: Well, maybe that is slightly over dramatic. I was in tears when I got my braces for the whole first week. This isn't anywhere near that bad it's so uncomfortable.

And I have to get them cleaned in a few weeks, as well as a possible root canal/extraction.

I only have 16 teeth in my mouth right now. Thankfully my wisdom teeth are coming in and they won't pull them. Even though I'm only going to have 3 of them.

Teeth are dumb. :twitch:

i have to waer retainers...
on the the um... i cant remember.. oh the 10th of july i will my braces in...
i will look at the end of it with a fake smile and groan of the months ahead..lol
your teeth look great now!

I joked with the orthondontist when both Andy and Benn were in braces - I told them I had just mortgaged two "railroads" (they had a mouth full of braces that looked like train tracks).

Your teeth look great!

Yeah I was in tears too, I actually went back to get them taken off but the ortho pretty much said to bad and I still thank him to this day for it.

The worst part for me was the sores I got in my mouth from the brackets rubbing. Orthodontic wax became my best friend.
OMG I know. That was awful. When I'd wake up in the morning and open my mouth my lips would get stuck and a;ldj;adslkjfdskfsfj. It was terrible.

I remember about two weeks ago, I was at longhorn and had my first real freak braces accident that you hear about.

I actually ripped the bottom of my tongue open on one of the wires in the back. :nerves1

I remember trying to eat when I first got mine, it hurt so much! And my retainer hurt just as much. The bad thing about retainers is that with train tracks it hurts the first week then you get used to it because there is nothing you can do. With a retainer it hurts really bad and you end up taking it out and then you never get used to it!
