I have a 2 year old fixed female cashmere lop named Lucy and just got a 3 month old angora lionhead mix male named Kodah, I am hoping to bond them. Kodah is not yet fixed but is very calm. I plan on getting him fixed right when possible. I have done a meeting session and 2 bathtub sessions with them thus far to just get them used to each other. Lucy will groom Kodah some but for the most part they just try to figure out how to get out of the bathtub! I really need this bond to work and there doesn't seem to be any hostility between the two. They are kept in different rooms at the moment. Any helpful hints and ideas are appreciated!!:happyrabbit:

The truly tough thing is deciding on approaches on how to bond them , and knowing your bunnies well enough to make it a wise decision. When I bonded mine I took the slow method, short dates slowly being extended to long ones. I feel that was the wrong approach for my two. They finally bonded when I took a weekend out and wouldn't separate them until I had my answer. But since I had taken the slow method whatever good will they had was erased by the grind of daily short meetings and separations.

However, that was my experience. Others swear by the slow method and it works like a charm for them. My only tip would be to know in your heart its a process and be prepared for the bad as well as the good. I almost gave up with mine, but I figured one more shot, one last time and it worked. But I wont lie, mines did bicker and I lost a pot of sleep working it out. Saw some fights that broke my heart and even now I question was i cruel. Seeing the end result, yes I was cruel but they are a loving couple now.
