Hi there,

I just ordered 4 sets of 4 NIC cubes and plan on building a large NIC bunny condo.

As i have 1 doe mini lop whose around 6 months old who just got spayed, and a 3 month old buck netherland dwarf that i plan on bonding later down the track after he gets neutered, would it be a bad idea to build a large cage but have two separate compartments so that the two rabbits cannot fight?

Would it enable them to at least know each others smells and know of each others existence until we try to bond them later?

Any comments are welcome!

Thats what I did. I have a NIC cage and I just put a wall up of panels, to seperate them til they were fixed. They would groom each other thru the panels and lay next to each other. If they don't fight I think it's a good idea. :)

Sounds like a good idea, but if they show aggression (and it may not be a bad idea anyway), put a double layer divider between the two compartments (two panels maybe a couple inches apart) so they can't bite each other through the wire.
