Hi everybody! I'm new here and need some advice on bonding my two rabbits. I have had my mini rex Lilac for 15 months now. In April I adopted Sheldon so she would have some companionship. They are still in separate cages because I haven't been successful in bonding them. They have gotten better with each other and they now groom each other and lay together when I have them out together. But, they do occasionally have a little fight where they kind of do this jump around chase each other thing and Sheldon sprays her with urine. Is this a normal thing for a neutered male rabbit to do to a spayed female rabbit? I have never heard of this behavior when reading about bonding. I just want them to bond and just when they seem to be doing good this happens.

I've seen this behavior in neutered males, but it seems strange for it to happen between two rabbits that generally get along. My male rabbit only did that when first introduced to a new bunny. I'm working on a bond that's been troublesome for nearly a year. They finally started to groom one another last week. I hope they don't have fits like you're describing.

Handle it every day let it out with you on a run with you and play with it give it it's nutritions because if its grumpy than its less luckily to bond it just needs to get used to you so don't get someone else to play with is if you don't have time because your doing homework no ! Get it and sit it by you a stroke it while you are doing it so you are bonding you are never to busy!!!

Sorry I missed this. Are your buns still having issues or have they sorted things out?
