Hi,
I have had two baby female buns since they were 8-10 weeks old. They are a bonded pair. However, 5 days ago they both got spayed. They had to drive for about an hour there and back. Then spent the night together at my vets house. I have been keeping them in separate x-pen side by side to recover for the past few days since they got back home. But whenever I let one out at a time to get in some exercise, they start fighting (boxing, biting) through the cage bars. Both of the bunnies got out at the same time and it turned into a fight which I separated immediately.
I don’t know if it was the trauma of the spay, the new location, or not being in the same cage together that is causing the problem. Before they left for the spay, they loved each other constantly grooming and cuddling. I’m not sure what to do at this point.
I’m also worrying about injuring them, if I try to rebond them due to the surgery only being 5 days ago.
