[align=center]My mom bought some to give to Sabriel because he needs to keep weight on and she saw there was no corn but other maybe fattening things in it.

Anyone feed it to their buns?
Should I give him some?
Should I switch his pellets to that?
Or should we just take it back and keep doing what we're doing?

I wanted to make sure I got some information on it and did some research before we gave him any and if we should even XD

Thanks in advanced~

Hello =)

I posted the same question about 3 weeks ago and everyone suggested I switch over ASAP! So I give penny timothy complete by kaytee now and she loves the stuff!
rabbit diet is vital to its well being and longevity-,,rabbits are strickly herbivores-or-grass eaters-which in itself is mainly nondigestible fiber--this is beneficial for the ever growing teeth and proper flora of the gitract,,-what many people do however is their folly and impending doom for the rabbits health--by feeding massive pellets and digestible foods//-30% of a rabbits diet is digestible foods-/-please note even though timothy complete is good only feed a small percentage daily-(about 1/2 cup??)-and make the main course grasses ie.timothy/orchard,etc. http://www.medirabbit.com --i hope this link will also help--sincerely james waller:halo:big wink:

Ick! Definitely not my favorite. I think it's important to fatten them up properly and not just with junk food, which is my opinion of that food. Hehe. I'm sure your mother meant well. I would probably offer it as a treat (as to not let it go to waste), so a spoonful here and there but not as a main food. Plus, any major diet changes would probably have more negative effects no? I would keep him on what he's on normally and maybe treat him to some oats and a variety of grasses etc. :)I think his weight will pick up normally when everything settles down as well so that should help. :rose:

We weren't going to change his pellets, just give him some as you said =] But he's been keeping weight on with the oats and sunflower seeds we give him sometimes =]We'll probably take the Bonanza back =P So yeah, he's been doing good, hasn't lost any weight and the vet thinks his leg will be healed probably soon. It's improved a great deal and he's more feisty now =] and the vet is happy bout it =] thank you so much for your input!
