raisin is a black havanna rabbit, born april 2005,-over 7 years old now,in good health, good behavior, but turning gray for no apparent reason other than age-or-could there be something evil at work here??-has anyone experienced this with their aging rabbits??--baffled-james waller:?:p:lookaround:halo

Our Junie appears to be doing the same thing. She's not even a year old yet, but she's got several gray/silver hairs showing through her black coat. I'm interested to know if there's a reason for it, too!

Our Twix has gone through a few changes. She started a really chocolate brown. At about 2 months her nose and paws turned a dark black but later returned to the brown. Now she has some gray patterns popping in and out.

Pappa Bunny (her dad) is all black but during the summer months he grays a bit.

I was always under the impression that this is completely dependent on genes and age.
