BK and Friends

Here are all of BK's friends and of course BK himself.

We have here Amber, a dark 'tortie' at nearly 2 years old
Henry, a chubby ginger tom at 11 years old
Tiger and Max (black one), our chooks
Bridge bunny Lila, a beautiful brown minilop
Bridge bunny Mia Jane balck and white
Will write more about my babies soon, just wanted to get some pics up before I went to bed.

Amber is a stunning lady, she is very affectionate and helped me througha very difficult time in my life, I got her as a kitten, she loves BK and but has not shown much interest since BK has been sick.

This is Henry, he really loves hanging around me when I get out the shower!! He jumps from the ground up onto me and I have to catch him before his claws set in, lol
He demands attention and is very possessive of any available lap. Thats me, musing over that fat ginger! I nick name him a lot, he can be Ginger Pudding, Mr Honey, Fats, Garfield or just plain old Henry.

Jane paased away from an abcess that finally grew large enough to impede her wind pipe. This was a long and difficult struggle and I may want to share this story soon. Jane was partially mentally disabled and was rescued from some people who really knew nothing about rabbit care. I still feel too sad to write more about her.

One of Henry's fav things to do is to try squash himself into tiny boxes! He weighs over 10kg!

Below are some quite bad photos of my baby BK. He is 11 months old andweighs almost 2kg. He sleeps at the foot of the bed, is methodical about his toileting habits and only goes in one spot!
He comes when called, has a bit of attitude about what he considers to be HIS house only and does not like the other pets to get attention from me. He folows mearound most of the time, grunts for attention and loves cuddles. Not too fond of being picked up but loves a warm bath.

Above are pics of my chooks, they have male names because thats what we thought they were. For chickens they are kinda tame but we have them so we can get fresh free range eggs as am passionately against battery farming.

There is one pic aboveof my beloved Lila, she passed away suddenly overnight of a mystery virus. She was happy, then went to sleep and never woke up. No pain, no loss of appetite, no exterior dangers, no reason, I am heart broken and miss her every day. She was very temperamental but she was mine. She was so spunky and had such an attitude of superiority Happy day sLila. I love you

Oh, I can't wait to be able to see the pics. Don't know if you were using photobucket, but I had some problems with that this morning. Seems to be adjusted.

Thought I haven't seen them yet, your stories tell me that your animals are all very special. Glad you joined us here at RO.

Aww.. Hi BK, and chooks, and kitties! I can't wait to read more. Lol at Henry trying to fit himself into tiny boxs, he looks like a real character. Gotta love those silly kitties antics.

First I get bunny burritoed, Mum pets me lots, cuddles and kisses too, I am getting a bit nervous at this time as I have a nasty sore ear. Vet said she will chop it off if Mummy can't fix it...


Mum inspects my ear

Mum injects a weak saline solution in to flush out all the yucky stuff

This is the worst bit but its over in seconds, Mum has to make sure there is no yucky stuff left so she presses my poor sore ear till it leaks out only clear water.

Now the serious cuddling starts, I get unwrapped, Mum checks if I want to run away for a bit to chill out but I have other ideas.

I get a little annoyed when Mum tries to put me down so I climb quickly upwards to her shoulder.

You won't believe how tight I can hold on, lifting me off is really tough work...lol
Aren't I just so gorgeous, you want to bunnynap me don't you.

My fav spot is in a crook of Mum's neck, it so warm and comfy, its where I get my bun naps, I fell asleep after this pic was taken, Mum said I snored a tiny bit.

Well there's news!!!

Drum roll please....

Introducing JAZZ...:inlove::bunnydance:

My new little lady and ain't she a beauty
A friend pushed me into Jazz and I did not at all feel ready for a newbun after Rusty but friends can be well meaning but have no idea how much work a new bun is!!

Well I am very happy with her, she is just going on 6 months and I am taking the bonding process between her and BK very slowly.

Well I say slowly.....

I had a little grate up between Bk and Jazz in the outdoor run and within moments Jazz had somehow sneaked her slim form under the grate and met up with BK!!!! I quickly ran to get my spray water bottle in case a fight broke out and I was so cross because I imagined I had really stuffed up!! :X

Was hoping to only introduce them nose to nose in a few weeks. Well I watched in amazement as they snuggled up next to each other after circling each other for a few minutes. :biggrin2::biggrin2:

Here are some pics of them first meeting, their first "accidental" bonding session and Jazz learning to climb the stairs...

First she was so nervous but in my house if you want to go anywhere, its upstairs for food, downstairs for play and well up and down all day really. She is a hutch bun and soon to be a house bun.

Lovely silky fur and such a cheeky and hyperactive personality so far...lol
My little naughty one, chews stuff and just looks at me as if to say, so you wanna catch me...just you try!!


Oh wow, mummmy, a girlfriend, I think its a girl anyway....sniff sniff...

Stairs, what the heck, its a twrick!! First I look down...

Maybe there's a escape out the sides....

Mum says up up Jazz, up the stairs so I look up....

But I'm not so sure....

Okay up it is...I'll be brave, look at my cute right ear, I do that a lot...

Almost there....

Made it...a bit blurry but thats me....

After cirling Bk for a few goes, I found out he was a boy so I went in for a kiss, I am so sociable....

We snuggled...

and snuggled....

Hope you enjoyed eyeing me up, I am so Gorgeous...mummy is going nuts over her bunny bubs.....

I have more news and so does BK (with pics) but we have to go now beacuse its afternoon tea time

They look adorable together, and I am so glad that the bonding went easily for you. You've worked so hard to save BK, you deserve for something wonderful and easy to happen, too!

Definately long lost twins....lol....awww cute Dallas.
BK is just the same, such a lordly look about him!!

And to everyone who thinks Jazz is beautiful, well I told her and she agrees completely and says..."Well naturally mon ami, I am sleek and slim and perfectly stunning in every way".

Thats where Jazz and I had a slight disagreement however, she will not let me touch her so it will take a while until she will come to me.
She has learnt her new name though and looks up when I talk to her.
She is not very friendly but may change in time.
She has eaten my flowers!!!!!....lol....BUNNIES!!

She is very very fast and runs everywhere like a mad thing, enjoying the freedom of not being in a cage.
She has to go into her cage at night time though (unlike BK) as she is very noisy otherwise, scratching, chewing and zooming around like a hyperactive 3 year old.
She is scared of the stairs and yesterday bit my daughter (well a nip) after she was carefully picked up!

BK loves being held but Jazz may need to stay on the ground for her cuddles.
BK is mostly ignoring her, nothing aggressive at all, I think he is amused by her as he watches her racing around like she's trying to chase lightning!!

I am so happy, Jazz has been letting me get within arms reach of her and is not running away like a mad thing everytime I walk near her!!!:bunnydance:

I have some lovely new pics to share with everyone. I hope photobucket is listening today and they are correctly resized!! lolonder:

Awww can I just be silly for a minute and with happy tears in my eyes tell everyone how much I just love my bunnies....I think about them so much, I sing to them, I talk to them, I read to them, I feed my baby closer to the floor so my buns can get to know her. I make dinner and chat to them, I call them and just plain adore them.

Bk and Jazz have become wonderfully bonded. Jazz follows BK everywhere, BK puts his head down to be groomed, Jazz licks his sore ear. They both want nose rubs from me and BK has taught Jazz to be toilet trained.:litterhealthy:

Really!! She just does what he does and goes in the litter box!! Awwwww my babies...

I couldn't have a lovelier pair.:bunnydance::bunnydance:

Anyway time to stop babbling and get on with those pics....

Darn red eye!! Its hard to believe I know, but I do take much better pics most of the time. Holding baby makes it difficult some times though!
