Hi there, my 5 year old rabbit has always been an individual, but loved attention.
But in the last 6 months or so she has been digging and nipping me every day. She is spayed, and otherwise well behaved. She's fine in her cage, and when I pick her up. But if I'm sitting with her on my lap patting her she'll nip my leg. I thought she just wanted to be on the ground, but now when she's exercising and i'm sitting in the ground, she'll come up and nip me then run away. Is there something wrong with her? Or am I doing something wrong? ( She runs for about 3-4 hours a day and eats timothy hay and lots of fresh veggies and grass).:anotherbun

Behavioural changes can be a sign of illness. Has anything else changed in your rabbits environment, different cage placement? New pets, anything? Sometimes even a slight change in routine can cause an upset. Otherwise, it could just be that she decided she wanted to boss you around, to try and curb it, whenever she nips give a little shriek and hold her head gently to the ground for a moment (it's what rabbits do to tell each other they've done something wrong). Hopefully she should soon learn that nipping is wrong.
