Anyone else have birds?

What great looking birds! I don't have any of my own now. I did have a parakeet several years back. He was the best parakeet in the whole wide world. We never ever caged him, he behaved like a little gentleman.

This is my son's bird, Miss Suzy Q. Good luck on trying to get yours on a healthy diet.

Suzy Q's favorite foods are hash browns and chicken tenders :foreheadsmack:

Aww! I just love birds!

We used to have quite a few birds, but had to rehome them when we were doing major renovations on our house. We had an elderly pair of budgies, a whole group of budgies, four cockatiels, an indian ringneck (Who flew away and we never managed to find :() and a congo african gray. Most of the birds belonged to my mom, but I did have a cockateil named Emma.

I can't wait to have another cockatiel one day, I just love them! I had a cockatiel that looked exactly like Tyson and Lucy named Emma.. who we think was a boy hehe!

Here's a picture of Emma.. sorry it's so bad . I had to scan it. I can't even remember how old I was, but I'm guessing 9? I had to rehome Emma, but she was a really neat little birdie!

She loved to ride around on my shoulder, or like in this picture, groom my hair and ride on my head hehe!

This isn't my bird, but I do bird-sit him a lot. His name is Polly and he's my sister's Quaker parrot. Funny little fellow, very bossy, lets you know if he's upset, and squawks LOUD when he wants attention. He's the culprit who I caught sitting on Raph's head once, and when I yelled at him to get off of poor Raph (who was sitting there as though he hadn't even noticed there was a parrot on his head), Polly casually slid down one of Raph's long ears and then waddled off.

I have 2 that I got this year :)I have taught my Teako a few things but I wondered why he didn't pick up on the "wolf whistle" when the other things were harder... I recently realized that he does the wolf whistlewhenever I put perfume on and he hears the sound of the spray. Lol.

This is Teako:

Both of them are terribly curious about the bunnies!!! They keep walking all over their cages. I am alwaysscared that someone will get hurt :?

Your birds are all so pretty! I've always been a little scared of birds to tell the truth, but I like to admire them from a distance ;)

The cockatiels look like they put blush on, it's cute!
