Ok...so I am not the best in math...it is actually like the bane of my life.

On the 17th of this month I put in a deposit at the ATM of WACHOVIA bank,...(turds)

I made a mistake...the correct amount should have been 20 bucks less than what I keyed in at the ATM...

So what happens you ask?

Did they call or email or even send a nifty little note to my online account warning me of this error? NO

So on the 18th they pull...thats right I said pull what should have been the correct amount OUT of my account completely...yes they took the right amount OUT.

They WAIT till the 20th to put it back in...and during the course of this...UNKNOWN TO ME...because online my account showed I had funds...and not in the negative...
I had 4 transactions get overdrawn...and wachovia has the ********* to Charge me...ME ...140 in overdrawn fees....

I deposit my new check today and see my account says AFTER that I am in the negative for 35 bucks...

I call...the lady tells me to open a dispute with them...cuse me? I don't think so...

So now they have left me to hold for a supervisor for the last ooooooooooooooo 30 minutes?

I am beyond upset. It is Friday evening...this leaves me without a dime until they fix it. I am so closing my account with them when I get this taken care of....I need to find a decent bank in NC. This is not the first problem I have had with them.

She says this is how banks do business to prevent fraud???? Really?
Because my New York bank just helped me out...I had a 40 dollar charge from a credit card company (like making a payment to them) placed agaisnt my account. Which is funny because I don't have a credit card except with this bank and they would not have pulled the funds like that. It would have been a transfer.
So when I call they say so sorry, we will credit you back the overdraft fee and send you a paper to sign and when we get that we will take that charge off. Got the paper, signed, sent it back and poof, charge gone.

I am beyond annoyed. This is like one of the last things I needed today...makes for a nice holdiay weekend eh?

Sorry for such the long post...I am just so freakin STEAMED...

as I sit here still on hold...waiting..and hoping they will fix this.

Maybe I am crazy but why should I have to pay 140 in fees because they pulled money, I gave them from my account for days!!! It was only a 20 dollar difference!!

Hey I feel for ya. We've had my husbands bank deny us funds when we've been on the opposite side of the country. One night we were about 4,000 miles from home stop at 1 AM to get a hotel room - our debit card doesn't work. You know why? When we got ahold of them they said someone was using our card out of our area. Yikes. It is a safety feature they have. Kevin told them to take it off - and they have done it to us several more times when we've been far from home (like 8 & 9,000 miles!) So we spend hours on the phone in bank trying to fix it, and eventually do everytime. But dealing with these people is like banging your head against a wall repeatedly for hours!

I hope this gets resolved for you. :X

Hey...

That sounds like such a load of nonsense! My gosh I would be beyond livid if a bank stuck me out in the cold like that! wow....and you guys still use them huh? You have more tolerance than I do...but than I have a short temper..lol

Well after like an hour on the phone..
The new guy says they made a mistake that they "fixed" the mistake incorrectly and he is very sorry and will fix my account right now. So at least I will have some money for the weekend. He said they should have only pulled 20 out and not the full amount. Said to him it looks like they did it backwards from what is normally done.

GRRRRRRRRRRR...well, just glad it is over...but what a bunch of nonsense....

What kills me is when I asked why no one called me or anything I was told everyone gets notified via snail mail period. This kills me...that such personal, HUMAN, service seems so gone in so many ways now...

Human/personal service is LONG gone!

We are still with them but only because it's complicated lol. My hubby is retired from the American Military (we live in Canada) and all his money goes into this bad, that they use. It can be changed but it's a royal pain in the rear, so he hasn't done it yet (procrastinating BIG time!)

I'm glad they got it fixed and resolved it. Shouldn't have really happened in the first place. But I am glad you will have money for the weekend, especially since it's a holiday!

Whew...sounds like a mess. Yeah from what I have heard from friends..dealing with that sort of stuff is always a pain in the rear....
You would think after the second time with you though...at LEAST they would have known not to do that to you over and over again...maybe just give you a call and ask or something.

When I was pumping gas one day my cell rang and I answered...was my New York bank calling me and asking me if I was indeed using my card as much as I had been that day and they saw that I was pumping the gas right as I was pumping it lol!
I said yeah I knew it ,..was me, and its all ok. But I thought that was awesome.

I love my bank in NY...will never close that account.

Oh my gosh...we have had HUGE things happen because of things like this...

We had a bank hold a deposited check for ten days (without telling us they would), and at the same time, a $200 check tried to go through to pay for a speeding ticket. We never heard from them that they bounced it. By the time the check we deposited went through, we were over $400 total in the red, mostly being fees they charged us!

Well, somehow we thought that the check for the ticket went through...and I'll admit that not having our finger on it enough was ultimately the issue here...if that dang deposited check had just gone through...or they had at least LET US KNOW it wouldn't for ten days, it wouldn't have freakin' bounced to begin with!

Anyway, we thought the check for the ticket cleared just fine...never got any notice form the DMV or the bank. My husband got pulled over because of expired tags (also our problem, I realize), they see that by this time there's a warrant out for his arrest from the unpaid speeding ticket...AND ARREST HIM!! When he called from the jail, I had NO CLUE what it was about! Even he, when getting arrested, didn't quite understand what had happened!

My husband had to spend a night in jail, we wound up paying TWICE what the dang ticket cost to begin with (it was about $500 to get him out of jail, and he had to pay other things on top of that, not to mention the stress of having to spend a night in jail because we simply DO NOT have that kind of money on-hand), and all because (ultimately) a check we deposited got a hold placed on it, and we weren't notified.

*sigh*

My husband is a WONDERFUL, RESPONSIBLE man...we thought we'd paid it...and he now has a mark on his record...*sigh again*

Oh wow!

I would have been terrified if I had been him...and you!

I would have tried to go after the bank for some sort of compensation,...but I doubt anyone would ever get it...

People just don't care anymore....everything is about money and technology...I hate HATE HATE it...

honestly it is one of the reasons I love this forum...people here seem to remember those little things...understanding, respect...caring....sigh..but than we are all animal lovers...I think that must set us apart some. Maybe?

Oh yeah...took us a few weeks to recover from that experience. It was just awful...I cried all night, knowing he had to spend that night in jail. I felt so bad for him...yet so angry that we'd let that happen...

Yeah, we've been through some rough things, I tell ya!

And I think you're right...reminds me of the quote I have in the signature of my emails...

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." ~ Anatole France

I really think it's true...I think compassion, the true ability to love unconditionally, cannot be understood unless it is first received. And who else in this world would you receive that from, anymore, unless by an animal? Yes, there are people (mostly, like you say, animal lovers) who do posess the ability to love like that...but anymore they're so few and far between. :(

But...I take heart with the people I know on here...to see so many in one place that love like that really sets my heart at ease. It reminds me that yes, we are rare, but we DO EXIST! :)

P.S. I am simply IN LOVE with your Simon...he's too cute for words!!!

I think that is a wonderful quote!! I love it and agree with it!

and you are right as well....besides children, animals it seems very far inbetween when you will meet good people in the everyday world. Every one always seem out for what they can get and what benefits them.
I feel like I get so jaded as time goes on...

and thanks! lol...he is a trip thats for sure. I have been getting SO stressed out with him. All his poopy behavior has been driving me crazy....but than today comes and it reminds me things can get better and usually do.

I have a really really good feeling about this new vet we are going to go meet. Praying that all works out and if it does he will be neutered within 2-3 weeks...as long as she deems he is fit for it. We are still having so many issues with his eating and poops...sigh.
Now we have a toy he likes that will I pray save my walls and carpet and think..they are FREE! WOOT!

Even Simon himself has been sweeter than he had been being..least this evening.
Still peeing all over me, the couches and everything else...but he isn't being as bratty...he actually seems like he wants some cuddles n rubs...which is a nice change of pace. He hasn't been caged for hours now! Since 4:30? I hate having to cage him, but I don't know what else to do when he gets out of control...

Sigh...I have good hope though now. I really feel like everything will pan out good!

I dunno if it'll help much...but something I just thought of (and might have already mentioned...forgive my forgetfulness)...

Our Maisie is what I call a Fabric Pee'r. If she's even NEAR fabric, and knows it's there, she can't help but pee where she's sitting! It's the funniest thing! Anytime I've ever had her around fabric...she peed. Maybe that's what Simon's doing?

Although, I should mention, she's not peed on ME...so maybe not...but ya never know.

Another thing...when he peed on you...was he in your arms, or did he kinda hop and peed, and it kinda travelled so that it hit you? If it was the latter, that would be the bunny way of spraying to mark territory...a hormonal thing that'll more than likely get handled with his being neutered. If it's the first...I dunno...hehe...wish I could say. Some buns do that, though, from my understanding. Maybe it's another thing that'll get handled with neutering??

I'll have to find your other threads to refresh my own memory on the pooping/feeding issues..unless you feel like re-explaining it for me here, lol! I might be able to help with that, too...:D

Edited to add: Found your thread on the poop issues and I'll add my own advice there...unless it's cleared up.

I think he's healthy...one of my girls had lots of mushy poop when she first got here, for about the first week. I just took out everythign but hay for a week, and then slowly introduced timothy hay-based pellets, and it cleared right up!

Has the mushy poop cleared up now?

I am unsure if that is the issue. He does seem to have a thing for the couches, but he will still pee on the carpet and kitchen floors. In his cage he almost always uses his litter pan. I don't think in there, he has peed outside of it in weeks...poops still...but not the pee. I even have a pee mat on the floor in the living room with a pee stain on it at the moment to at least encourage him to go there instead of anywhere else...doesn't work.
My couches are like...whew...9 or so years old now? They were my dads...they are sort of velevty with that scotch guard stuff on there. Though I am convinced that has long since worn off.

He has never peed on me when I was actually holding him in my arms. He has peed on me when he was sitting on my lap, will ALWAYS pee on me if I dare have a blanket covering me and there are tons of time he has jumped away and the pee rolls and gets me....More that one that the others I would say, well no...the blanket is a big deal. Anything like that...I don't know if it means he is ticked off or something? But man he will chew and bite at towels and blankets like crazy. I don't let him have any to play with though because he will really tear em up and he eats what he tears up.

I just went and looked through that thread...that really isn't happening anymore...but....this thread is more of what is going on:
http://rabbitsonline.net/view_topic.php?id=34108&forum_id=16

Now with that...note that the poops are still teeny tiny and there are larger ones...sometimes strung together or clingy...mostly they seem brittle...
he turned down his pumpkin today as well for the most part so I didn't bother to give him his evening plate. He hasn't seem to want much today.
The tech I talked to today really seemed to know what she was talking about and made me feel a bit better about it. Hoping we can find the solution.
Thing is they are never the same. Every day it is different..he has no pattern with the poo. Mostly lately though I would say they are getting to be more and more itsy bitsy poops and they seem so dry and brittle.

I think he's healthy...one of my girls had lots of mushy poop when she first got here, for about the first week. I just took out everythign but hay for a week, and then slowly introduced timothy hay-based pellets, and it cleared right up!

Has the mushy poop cleared up now?

So in the end...I just never know what to think. I don't know if maybe this tech had it right and maybe he just has a need for some extra vitamins...or what. She said that could be the issue...could....

I am taking him in to this new vet on the 29th. I want to meet her anyway and see if I like her...I do have good vibes about it and I want to know he is in the clear to get neutered. Man he really needs to...

How much he eats and drinks changes from day to day. Some days he acts like a pig, but more than not he doesn't. he might drink down three crocks one day and barely touch one the next. It would help if he had a pattern..but alas he does not.

I am wondering if that is my fault though. My household can be rather crazy...and flies with my mood ya know? I might be up and going one day and barely doing anything the next. Up at 8am one day and sleep till 11am the next and when I am up at 8 that means I slept the night before...and if not I was up till 3am. Simon usually is up and out if I am....depending on how he is behaving.
(I have some depression issues).....

That was horrible what happened to you, Orchid :(. I am glad it is resolved, though.

I do have to say, I love my Chase Bank to death. They are great! I have had an account with them for 3 years now (since I was 16) and have never had any issues. I am super careful with money and haven't even had any sort of over-draft...which I find amazing, most people my age over-draft at least once (Ryan has, haha!).

I'd definitely start looking into a new bank. Do you have Chase or any JP Morgan banks near you?

Wachovia usually takes care of you with situations like that. Call them up and bother them a bit. I've had all my random fees taken care of if it wasn't my fault. Love that about Wachovia.

I don't think I have ever heard of JP Morgan...but Chase I have...perhaps I will look into that one.. THANKS for mentioning it!

Thanks...me too! I was SO UPSET! Who wouldn't be though huh :)

Eh thats the thing..I shouldn't have to bother them as much as I have had to...I am pretty sick of the non sense with them. Honestly if it wasn't for needing a local account I would never have opened an account with anyone else than my bank in NY...
I am just tired of the BS with them...seems never ending
