The two top brands I recommend are Oxbow and American Pet Diner. The advantage with Oxbow is that it is available at a lot of retail outlets. I prefer APD (have fed it for 6 years), but it is only available online and the shipping costs are usually more than the pellets cost. I pay around $52 for 25 lbs. A lot of people have commented that APD is less dusty than Oxbow.

i am a purina rabbit chow person too.

although i have fed oxbow in the past and love them as well, just can't really get it up here

I used to feed Oxbow but it doesn't seem to be available in my new area. The most readily available pellet seems to be KayTee adult rabbit pellets and I really don't know anything about that.

For an adult rabbit, make sure the pellets are made from Timothy hay, no alfalfa. Look for high fiber and LOW protein in a pellet. Protein should not be over 14%. Fiber should be at the very least 18%, more is better. And, of course, no junk in it, ie, dried carrots, sunflower seeds, etc. Just pellets. All of the American brands stated above are good ones (sorry, I don't know about European brands). If you need to get a bag at a pet store, Petco sells Zupreem's "Nature's Promise". My buns hated Oxbow, but love Zupreem and it's fiber content is excellent while its protein is acceptable. Stay away from KayTee if you can. I've never seen a pellet of theirs that wasn't junk.

Me too! Purina just came out with a new line called "Natural AdvantEdge." It's made from all fresh, natural ingredients. They have more info on their website. (For some reason it won't let me link to it?)
