best hay brand

Hello guys, i wanted to buy hay today and in my country we don’t really have alot of brands to choose from. Is burgess excel hay and pellets good and safe? i have never tried it before. she is eating Gimbi hay and it is mostly yellow so i thought it would be better to try something other than that.

Have you looked for local feed stores that may carry hay by the bale? That would typically be fresher - locally grown. Whatever hay you get, look for the greenest hay, fresh and dry.

Burgess is typically a good pellet brand. Here is a chart that compares different brands of pellets.

If you go to a farm or feed store make sure to ask for horse quality hay.
