It could get infected. I would contact the vet.It could be healed enough that it won't need to be reclosed, but it'sbest to talk to you vet.

Tried to call but he's out on a visit... will certainly call in the morning .. to be honest, thewound looks clean and I'm not overly worried at the moment...Will keep a check on him tonight to make sure he isntoverly irritating the site ... (He's not evenbothering with it now, so i wonder whether there was a stitch in tootight for him that was making him feel uncomfortable ...)He's not touching his other side at all ...

If he lets you, you could put some Neosporin onit to prevent infection. And keep his cage reallyclean. He should be alright until you can get in contact withyour vet.

Have you read the thread about Pepper's spay? She was pulling out her stitches too.

For sure keep an eye on it. Keep the bottom of his cage clean as possible so no shavings or poop get in the wound.
How long has it been since his surgery?

Ahh .. No I havent read that thread .. will donow ! There are so many new threads on here becauseit is such a busy forum that I dont get chance to read them all ..especially now I am working full time ..

He's stopped bothering with himself now ... so as I said before, I dowonder whether it was just that site that was bothering him .. I mean,he wasnt awake to say ... "Can you make that stitch a bit looser asit's really going to cause me jip when it dries and starts toheal!" *chuckle
