I was just wondering how many people here believe in God? And if they believe that he can give you signs that something isnt working out?

I got engaged in December and last week I went on holiday with him. Although we have been together for 5/6 years, we didnt quite get along as planned. I thought I would enjoy myself much more. I thought going on holiday with my fiance would bring us closer together but it did the complete oposite.

I think it as a sign by God that we really arent meant to be. The other week aswell my fiances ring vanished out of knowwhere, which I also thought was a sign. As I had been thinking recently that we may of rushed into gettin engaged at a young age. If we dont get along on holiday now, then when we get married God knows what its going to be like.

I cant describe anything else in more detail as it is personal, but my question is if I am being stupid thinking that God is giving me signs or not.

I am a christian but have not really thought about believing in God since now. And I feel I strongly believe in him at this moment in time.

I think that no matter what you believe in, your heart is telling you that something doesn't feel right. You might consider couples counseling to try to sort through this.

I don't think you are stupid at all for your belief in God.

You probably need to sit down and talk to your fiance. Something isn't right and even if you decide to get married you still need to talk. It's okay to have some doubts--no one can be absolutlely sure. You have to have a little faith to get married, but too many doubts about certain things is a cause for concern.

(Just FYI: my hubbie and I always get in fights when we are on vacations together and we've been happily married 15 years. There's something about being with the same person 24 hours a day and plus all the ligistics of travel that can make people tired and grumpy with each other.)

I agree with both Pam and Jenni...couples do argue, but if you're feeling something isn't right, you should do something about it. I'm not going to tell you WHAT you should do, that's up to you...but you should do something.

I have to admit that I had some doubts before I married my husband, but only because I was afraid of things turning out for us like they did for my parents. Once I sat down and wrote down the pros and cons, I realized that my husband really was the man for me, and that things would be wonderful, and they are! Yes, we argue now and then, and like Jenni said, travelling can be stressful and that stress could have caused strain on your relationship...but if you thought you would have had a better time alone, that is something to take into consideration.

Let us know how things go, ok? You'll be on our hearts and minds until then. Whatever you do, do what makes you happy and betters your life and survival in the long-run, okay? Please, please don't make any decisions based on anyone else's pressure...do it because you feel it's right. It's YOUR decision. :)

We love ya, Hun...and we're there for you no matter what you choose! :D

Thank you all! Hes coming over to see me this weekend so we can talk about it properly, But i dont know what to think till then. Im not sure if I love him any more:?I just cant get the confidence to say 'i love you' to him at the moment :(

I agree with Jenni about the holiday thing. My first fight with my husband was on our honeymoon. :lookaround

There are very few people I can travel with -- my sister and my cousin for example,I love them dearly, we're very close, but no way will I get on a plane to some foreign land with either of them again!

I have one girlfriend I mostly travel with because we know we get along under those circumstances. (For that matter, after she got married, she didn't go on a honeymoon with her new hubby, she went off to Mexico with me!)
