I put Belle and Charger in the pen out side, of course i was sitting right there, there was Charger trying to mount her and she let him a first then she would hop away, to which he would wait a few seconds then hop to her and ever so nicely chin her and then try again. While this kept going on there was grunting sounds, i think coming from both, some nipping from Belle towards Charger, he reacted with a lil shocked looked but nothing came of it, no fighting that is. There was a boxing episode where Charger came up to Belle , towards her instead of behind her, and Belle boxed at him. Belle nipped him a few times, but with these things that she has done they are followed with licking, are these behaviours ok?

I know the humping is o'kay... so long as Belle is o'kay with it. Still best not to let him bother her too much, of course. The boxing/nipping is often all just part of the bonding fun, unfortunately. They sound like they are doing really well IMO.

Just keep at it, small positive sessions, multiple times a day (if possible). Then as you see them doing better and better, you can start to lengthen the sessions.

Good luck!!!

Thanks Sandra, when he goes to head mount her i stop that right away i dont want any bitting of the pee pee, lol.

Alicia one week since the nueter.

by the end of the session they are ok and it isnt as much of the humping, grunting, and nipping as in the beginning.

do you think it would still be ok to put them together a few times a week, when i have time so long as everything is going ok or am i better just waiting? I am just excited for them to be friends, lol

oh i have to say too , i was having a big problem with Belle peeing int he corners of her cage, which was driving me crazy becuase she did this several times a day and since she has been getting out with Charger no accidents, but of course since i put that i just jinxed myself, lol. I think she is bored and lonely

You can they are your bunnies. I myself wait a bit because as hormones go down less mounting which means less annoying each other. I know that they will mount but atleast than you know it's more dominance than hormones. Belle has been dominate in her previous bonding she could possibly get really mad and hurt him.

ok i will do that. i will wait till it is one month after the surgery, and for now i will leave the blanket that was in between their cages off so they can get use to each other.

Oh I didn't know he was just neutered... yeah... I also recommend waiting a month for the hormones to go away. Trust me, in the grand scheme of things one month is barely any time at all... and you're always better having everything in your favour when you start serious bonding. But I wish you the very best when the time comes!!!! I have a feeling they will have minimal troubles being friends.

oh god Sandra from your post to gods ears, lol, i hope it goes well. I am sorry i dont think i mentioned that he was just newly nuetered.
