Begging Problem

A few days ago I stared training Shino on a daily bases. Since he LOVES his pellets I would use those as his treats. He'll do anything for them!

But he's started begging for his pellets when he's out of his cage now. He steals his measuring cup, chews on the food containers, basically gets himself into trouble.

He currently gets a quarter cup of pellets every day, a cup and half (probably more actually) of veggies and unlimited hay. Is he begging because he knows he'll get it eventually? Or could he be genuinly hungry?

Awww... sorrytaht sounds to cute. Most buns get 3/4 a cup a day..so you may be feedinga bit too low. Maybe try giving him a 3/4 cup?

1/4 per 5 lbs. Sounds like he just expects it now.

It is insanely cute, which unfortunately sometimes works in his favor.

Yeah Shino is Under 5 pounds. I try not to encourage it. I don't do training when he's acting like this. I guess I just have to suck it up!
