Bath towels

I'm going to ask my MIL to get us a new set of bath towels for Christmas. I would like 10 full sized towels, hand towels and wash clothes. All in white because I LOVE to bleach the hell out of my towels! (No really, I have a serious problem. All my towels now are either covered in bleach stains or they're 5 shades lighter than they once were)

I just saw how expensive towels are and there are different kinds of cotton! Oh my, I'm confused now. I haven't ever bought myself towels, my mom got me my first set and then my SIL got me some from walmart last year (they weren't great and couldn't withstand the bleach!)

Should I ask for Egyptian cotton or Turkish cotton?

What kind of towels do you guys have, and where did you get them? Are they a good quality? Will they withstand being washed A LOT? Do you like the way they dry you? (hahaha I know thats a weird question, but we've all had towels that just suck at drying us! You know what I'm talking about.)

Personally I like a bath sheet rather than a bath towel (maybe because I live with roommates and just prefer more coverage on my way to and from the shower. I usually get towels at Marshalls.

These are the towels we registered for when we got married. We absolutely love them and I will never own another kind of towel Very soft. And i know what you mean by "do you like the way they dry you"....i am the same way, they have to be soft and plush and dry good. They dont stay damp for long and they feel great

I didn't even think to look at Bed, Bath and Beyond. You would think I would have remembered because BATH is in its name! haha.

I was looking at some last night and I found some on Overstock.com and I really like them.
They're turkish cotton and they look AWESOME!

I just wanted to get other peoples opinions on what they have and like. I might be nuts, but I want a lasting towel!
