My bunny's name is Boo. She's a white hotot. They told me she was 3 months old at the petshop, so i'm not sure if she's a dwarf yet or not. I have her in a cage with a plastic flooring with aspen wood chips.
Anyway, after i got her from the petshop, she was totally fine in the bedding. I've had her for about a month..and suddenly she had like really rapid hair loss on the soles of her back feet. it spread up to the tops of her back legs. and now it started on the soles of her front feet as well. She also has really matted fur on her nose and it's really dark at the base around the edges. I tried to see what it was and i accidentally pulled a piece of the matted fur out and figured out that the black stuff was dried blood. More blood came out from the spot that i pulled the hair out of. I have no idea whats wrong with her and thought maybe it was just her being bored and pulling her hair out but now it spread to the rest of her other legs so i'm not sure what it is. I'm a college student and I'm kinda on a budget so I wanted to ask here first before I took her to a vet. Its been about a week since i first noticed all this. By the way , the fur on her nose was matted since the day i got her, but it got worse.

I don't know if what I'm about to say is right or wrong but here is my comment.
The 'missing' fur doesn't seem to be 'chewed' off to me (by the rabbit I mean). Is there fur on the bottom of the cage? Is there any in the rabbits throat?
Also I don't think the aspen wood chips are safe for rabbits...
"if they're pine or aspen, they contain aromatic oils that damage the organs of small animals, particularly I believe the livers and kidneys. They might also be from wood that's chemically treated, and even if they're safe from both of those things, they can be a problem if the rabbit eats them."

If she's in a cage with a solid bottom, she shouldn't really need bedding anywhere except the litter box (it helps with litter training anyway). How often have you been changing the bedding? I'm wondering if her feet have been in too much contact with urine? I have to admit I was expecting her to look much worse based on your description but was relieved when I saw the pictures. I wonder if it's some type of contact dermatitis on her feet, but the nose confuses me. My advice would be to have her checked out by a vet.

Aspen is safe. I have been using it for a while, but only in litter boxes ..I would take her to the vet. I know someone on here has a bun with sore feet. I think she uses diaper rash ointment ..but I'm not sure. Good luck!

Okay, so I took her to the vet and they gave her a shot of Ivermectin because she has Scabies and they also told me to buy something called Sulfur Lotion and apply it everywhere that she has hair loss and on her nose as well. I found something called Sulfur Ointment at Walgreens but I'm not sure if I should put this on her, and also if I do, then will she die from eating this ? Because she's constantly licking and biting those areas >_<.
