Bald Spot

Hi,

My bunny is shedding his fur like crazy at the moment, so today I was brushing him and plucking out loose fur. I think I over did though it as he now has a noticeable bald patch on his back, around 2cm x 1cm in diameter

I didn't notice at the the time how much fur I had pulled out now I'm really worried! The skin is pink underneath (is this normal??) Will the fur grow back quickly? Please help, I'm really worried!

If it's just from you overgrooming and it isn't sore or really flaky, it will be fine. It probably won't be long before you start to see it starting to regrow.

Would you be able to post a picture of the spot? (If you're not sure how, just ask and one of us will talk you through it)

There's a good chance it's nothing, but a small possibility it could be something like fur mites - with a picture, people who are familiar with fur mites may be able to spot a tell-tale sign that could easily be overlooked.
