Bailey's Blog!

DSCN3954-1-1.jpg

(I figured I have the time, so why not start a blog about life with Bailey!)

For those who don't know-
Bailey is a male black bunny who is just over a year old. I got him from a pet store last May after I fell in love with his cute little self. He is my first bunny... and he is most definitely teaching me the ins-and-outs of bunny ownership. :) Here are some pictures of him when he was a little bunny!

In August of 2007, I went to college, and sadly couldn't take Bailey with me... :( My mom did a fantastic job of caring for him while I was away, feeding him organic fruits and veggies and giving him TLC. Due to traveling, I was unable to come home (home is RI) from October '07 until May '08! When I came home this is what I found- a full grown, 4.2 lb rabbit!

Naturally, after spending so much time away from me, Bailey was bonded with my mom, and I was worried that he would want to re-bond with me. So I set to work, and in a very short time span, Bailey and I became thick as thieves... ;)

I have such a soft spot for black bunnies, and Bailey is no exception :biggrin2:.

He's got the sweetest expression, he doesn't look anywhere near as old as you say . He's so innocent looking, like he's only a few months old.

New(er) updates!

So- Bailey and I lived in RI. As you know I went to college this past year in St. Petersburg, FL (Eckerd College) and couldn't take Bailey with me. :(. BUT!

After re-bonding so well with Bailey, I decided I wanted to take him back down to FL with me (I have an internship over the summer) I'm so glad I did~~

I was a little nervous about the trip down (rented a car), but Bailey ended up doing great! We had a marathon day where we drove from RI to GA, and then stayed the night in a pet-friendly hotel outside of Savannah, and then drove the rest of the way the next day. Bailey was a little frightened at first, but calmed down, and started getting cozy in his cage in the car.... At one stop- we had been driving alllllll day- and I knew he wanted to get out, so I put his collar and leash on and we sat down in a grassy area at a rest stop. He did great, running around and even munching some grass!

Here are some pictures in the hotel-
