Went to a pet store today, they has Russellrabbit for sale, and guess what flavor it was!!?? Carrot andleek, LEEK what are they thinking

Was is just Leek flavored? Or wasthere actual leek in it? With some of the bitter veggiesrabbits tend to like, they would probably like leek flavoring.

Leek in it , and leek are part of the onion family so they are toxic

I have read it some whereI know Ihave, onions are poisonous so if leeks are part of the onion familythen they must be too

I agree that I wouldn't feed leeks, because ofthe relationship to onions. I just thought that maybe theartificially flavored the food.

Nope there was great chunks of it in there, the bag was clear so you could see all

I'm leary of any food with any kind of "chunks"in it... poisonous or not. Give me straight, fresh, cleanpellets, with the right amount of protein and roughage.Nothing fancy!When I want my bunnies to havesomething extra, I give it to them!

It doesn't mean it's posionous just because it'sin the onion family. Some plants are poisonous but it doesn't mean thatalll the plants in that family are poisonous. And some plant parts arepoisonous but not all of it is -- for example, the leaves and vines ofTomato plants are posionous but not the tomato itself.
