Baby bunnies died, help please

First off my rabbit is a 2 and a half year old dwarf bunny. My rabbit gave birth tonight to still borns. None looked deformed either. This was not her first litter, she has had 2 others last year. Not sure the exact date she got pregnant so i can't say how long she has been. I read a lot of times they can lose their first litter, but this was her 3rd, what could of happend? ALSO, what should I do now? Should I immediately remove the babies from the nest? There are 5 of them. Do I need to go ahead and remove them?

So sorry that you lost the kits!!!!!!

You can go ahead and remove the deceased kits from her cage ..

Did you find the babies dead or did you watch her give birth to dead babies?

Some of my mommma's depending on the situation, I might leave one or two of the dead babies for a day or two(only if it's really cold so they don't get rank), or replace with some Tiny TY beanies if momma seems to be depressed. Some of mine that really maul their babies I take away the dead ones no if's ands or buts.
The only way I'll leave the actual babies is if the babies freeze to death and it's still very cold outside, or the momma is VERY protective, give her a day to cool off. I knwo it's not good to leave the dead babies there but if it helps mom deal with the loss of her babies.

Definitely remove them right away. As Sarah said, were they born dead or did they die shortly after birth? Was she giving birth indoors or out? Who was the buck that you bred her to? If you bred her to a buck that is much bigger than her, then the kits might have been too big to pass through the birth canal safely. Were her other litters around 5 kits? Are all the kits the same size, or is there maybe one that is extra large?

Also, I know this sounds harsh but also withhold feed for 24 hours, this will greatly reduce the chances for mastitis because she will dry up faster due to lack of food.
Breed her back in a week and keep track.
