Away for the week =[

Because Im moving up to Inverness in Scotland next year my mum and dad are going up there next week to have a look at houses. I wanted to take my rabbits to this woman for the week but shes really expencive and my parents said that my brother can look after them while were away.

The only thing is he dosen't really no the first thing about rabbits and and he usually gets up really late so they'll be stuck in half the day. :?

My dad siad we can phone everyday to check that there ok but Ive only ever been one day away since ive got them, what if they think Ive abandoned them?

They won't think you have abandoned them. Yes, they will miss you, but when you come back they will be so happy. They will have each other, and their normal setting, so they will not be very unsettled.

Maybe write your brother a sheet explaining everything, when to feed, what to feed, how much, what to look for, all those things. And maybe give him this web page so that he can have somewhere to go if any problems arise and he can't get hold of you.

I agree with Moominmoo. I had major separation anxiety the first time i had to leave my bun with my mother looking after him (for two weeks) but he did just fine. They'll miss you, but they'll be ok. Just think how happy they'll be to see you when you get back! I'm betting on binkies! :biggrin2:
