Taxes!!!!!!

We always get a return but hubby leaves a bunch of receipts for me to sort and add up and all good stuff until the last minute. We see the CPA tonight! :X

Oh man it's hard. Hubby has a lot of supplies and tools and food receipts. He's a heavy equipment mechanic and works all around the state and sometimes in other states for his company. He might be in northern indiana one afternoon and be in Ohio the next.

He has a company truck now which really helps but it's still a lot of work and then the CPA charges us a fortune. I wish I could figure them but it's too much with our mortgage and all that stuff..... *sigh*

It's over!! YAY! We will get a nice return as usual and it didn't take too long this year and we saved a bit of money that way.

I have some tips for next year and that will be a help since Luke won't get a child credit next year (he turns 17 soon).

So, I wait..... for the deposit. :waiting:

Yay, so glad it worked out for you guys! Rob did ours about a month ago and we've already gotten ours back, whoohoo. Haven't spent any though:shock:.

And don't forget about the Economy Stimulis check coming in May-depending upon your last 4 digits of your soc, you could be last (like we are):?. But, still, yay:bunnydance:.

THANKS :)

Yeah, that's a good thing - we have 2 kids and we meet the criteria for the economycheck. That's going to come in handy too!

I could do our own taxes but we have those goofy things that come up like tools and when we buy big ticket items they have to be depreciated over 3 years I think.... mileage, and other non-reimbursed things (he normally has the company truck but sometimes they'll work on it and he'll use mine :X )

I asked the guyabout doing transports for the bunnies and horses through shelters.I asked how thosewould be deductible - and I sort of knew I could claim mileage for IRS approved shelters - but I did it to sort of make sure my hubby understood and he was very interested and supportive which was a shock LOL! I guess he had realized that it's a charitable thing for me. I no longer work at the church food pantry for a lot of reasons and I do love to help others. (we live in a very wealthy county and it was hard to see some of the "poor" that came for help when I knew there were kids going without dinner in the next county) Helping those who cannot help themselves (kids, animals and elderly people) is where I really feel a calling.

Also talked to him about all the college stuff we have coming up next year with my son. Ugh! More paperwork! lol.

I think I already have about half the return spent - and it won't be here for a couple of weeks! LOL!
