ARIZONA rescuers needed!

I just saw this ad on craigslist and unfortunately, it is about 1am right now. i think it would be a bad idea to call this woman now.

i know no details on this except the 55 animals, many of which are rabbits from this womans "rabbit hobby" before she suddenly became ill. i don't know if she is charging or not, but i am VERY worried for these buns.

obviously, i will be calling her in the morning to talk about what the deal is.

is anyone else weirded out or concerned about this?

She's a breeder, it's very unlikely this is a rescue. (And nope, this isn't 'Grandma Judy' for those aware of that story).

This womanmay have been selling to individuals and pet stores and not breeding show bunnies, but she's a breeder none the less. Give her time to sell off her 'stock' tostores,other breeders or just interested individualsresponding to the ad beforeworrying about it.

And as much as we'd all love to save them from the fate that awaits them at pet stores, that's not realistic. We have to focus onneglected, abused and abandoned buns first, those close to euthanasia at shelters and the bunnies over-crowding rescues.

These bunnies are fine.

Tracey....let me know through a PM what "breeder" this is (or their rabbitry name). I am just curious if you do find out. I, of course, can't help out or take on anymore bunnies.

Unfortunately, Sas is right. There are sooo many bunnies right now at Brambley Hedge Rabbit Rescue, The East Valley Bunny Rescue, and at the AZ Humane campuses. It is so sad, but sometimes there isn't much we can do.

Hopefully this breeder is letting other AZ breeders know that she needs to get rid of all her stock, and most of the rabbits go to another breeder that will really care for them.

man, this woman was a total bizzzzzzn*tch. i called her and asked her about the bunnies, if she was selling them or giving them away, and she yelled at me and told me someone else typed up the ad for her, and she is trying to sell her whole "business". i said oh okay i'm sorry for bothering you, thank you for clarifying that with me. she proceeded to scream at me about how so many people are calling her and she is so angry and fed up with it. i just hung up on her.
