Hey guys. So, I'm a cat behavioural expert at allexperts.com, and recently was asked by a person something, and answered it completely, but for some reason they gave me 8 out of 10 for knowledge on the subject! I just don't understand that...since I completely answered their question, and let them know exactly what was going on. I talked to my hubby about it, and he said that I possibly didn't give the guy the answer he was looking for, since he was basically wanting his kitty to stop meowing, and she was meowing because she was playing. My answer was basically to enjoy her playtime and have fun in watching her. I guess he didn't like that, so he docked me two points for knowledge. Does that make ANY sense?
My personal opinion...if you ask a question, and the person tells you there isn't any way (and shouldn't be when your kitty is playing) to stop the behaviour, and that it isn't harming anything, and to try to have fun with it...that doesn't mean they don't have short of completely knowledge about the subject. Does that make sense?
He wants someone to tell him how to shut up his cat because her playing bothers him...and I just won't do that. My thought is that if his cat's playing bothers him that much, maybe he should rehome her...because him wanting to stifle her play is a sign that he's not all that nice of a kitty owner!
Argh...people are weird...and SO FRUSTRATING sometimes!! :X
The thing that stinks the most about this is the fact that his rating is at the top of my list of ratings right now, and I cannot change them at all. Due to that, I've gotten a LOT less questions lately. I usually get at least three a day, and have gotten one in the past three days! Argh!! :foreheadsmack::rollseyes::angryrant:rant
I feel sorry for his little kitty...I hope he gets his head out of his *** and just decides to love her, instead of trying to change her having fun. What a jerky! :growl:
Anyway, sorry for ranting, guys...I just can't stand when someone wants to change a cat's, well, catness. It's the second question I've gotten where someone wanted to change a very basic thing that makes a kitty a kitty, and I just won't give them the answer they wanna hear. You won't find me EVER telling someone to do something that would basically supress their cat's desires in being cat-like! It's just wrong...and I won't do it. If it docks me point, well then whatever, ya know? I know in the end that I'm doing the right thing. Argh...
