So I'm was updating my address information on my voters registration so I can vote in the primary. Is anyone else gonna vote? I've never vote in the Primary's but one of my friends made a very good point in why its important so I'm going to make the effort and check out all the candidates.

Is your primary in January?

I live in Pennsylvania, and our presidential primary would normally be too late to count because it's heldin April. (A number of states have rather late presidential primaries)

Legislation was introduced for our primary to be held in February 2008 rather than on April 22, 2008 - as far as I know, that bill didn't pass.

But - I will most certainly still be at the polls to cast my vote for presidential candidate! No matter when we hold it ;)

Your Welcome. =)

Another site i just found. Not saying who u should vote for BUT it give information on deadlines for all states and I found that very useful.

Because in order to vote in the primary you have to choose what party that you want to vote for. Now this will only play a part in when you vote in the primary presidential elections!

And as my good friend said unless you want to end up voting in November and choosing what candidate you hate less then make sure you take the time to vote in the primary's. I only say this because thats what I did in 04! lol I don't pay attention to all that stuff I had no idea there was a primary election =(

Remember that there also may be some local issues to vote on even if you haven't chosen a party.

But, you'll have a rather short ballot compared to those choosing candidates for their parties at the primaries ;)

Honestly, no I'm not voting. I am registered to vote but I forgot what city I registered in. and the only reason I even did that is because the girl who was collecting registrations got commision for every person who registered as a republican. She was nice so I figured, why not?

I won't be old enough to vote in our primary, but I turn 18 in June, so I will be voting in November. We've been talking alot about the elections in my AP gov class.
Remember, the primaries are different in each state and you aren't actually choosing a candidate. What you're choosing is a delegate, who pledges to vote for that candidate in teh first round. However, if one candidate doesn't get the majority, the delegate caucus until someone does. In other words, voters don't have a very direct impact on which candidate each party chooses.

You can call your local DMV to find out where you are registered.

I vote every chance I get.

Maybe Pennsylvania will have an impact in the primaries after all . . .

by KYW’s special contributor Larry Kane[/align]
In Campaign 2008 a strange buzz of uncertainty surrounds the Democratic race. It’s widely assumed that the nominating process will be over on Feb 5th, Super Tuesday. Not so fast.

Barak Obama has now pulled ahead of Hillary Clinton in the polls in New Hampshire. If Obama pulls it off in Iowa and New Hampshire, the following primaries could be a mixed bag and the nominations may not be wrapped up so early after all.

Which brings us to Pennsylvania where the Pennsylvania primary is April 22nd, the only primary in April. If there is a logjam of mixed results, as it appears now, the Pennsylvania primary could be the clincher.

A lot of IFS, but that’s the way it is in a hotly contested Democratic battle.

I'm not voting...I'm not even registered. Some might want to punch me, but I really don't know anything that goes on with the government or any thing. I don't pay attention.

I don't even watch/read the news :baghead. I live in "my own world" filled with bunnies, rats, laser gifts (my job), and Ryan :lookaround.
