Are these eye circles enough to show?

Are Heifer's eye circles big enough to show? Or should there be a lot more coloring around the eyes?

Great, thanks!! Although this information isn't helping me try to figure out who to keep and who to sell. I thought, "I might be able to let this one go if the eye circles is an immediate DQ." It looks like they're all going to have to stay. haha

She's a possible show. What I read about Faults is that less that 10% markings on the face would be a DQ.

Does she have a full butterfly? And does the other eye have the same type of markings? If so I think the smaller circles around her eyes aren't that small.

K:)

Yes, both sides look the same, and he/she has the butterfly on the nose. So if that eye is enough for a circle, then we should be good. I can't believe they're 4 weeks old today. Although Ad probably feels every day of it. lol

Thanks. I hope there's a way, in a few weeks, to figure out which ones are definite keepers, which are maybes, and which can go. Because right now they're all keepers. ha

LOL. What helped me and my mom was taking pictures of our babies and getting comments from that Rabbit Addict website. They were able to pick apart my moms babies.

We also got other polish breeders opinions of them and of course showing them and getting a judges (preferably one who knows the breed) opinion.

There is absolutely no issue with the coloring on the face : )

The 10% DQ referred to in an earlier post applies to the entire rabbit, not just the face. The standard describes the preferred head markings, but only DQ's for any completely missing marking. Partial markings are a very minor fault.

Thanks! So Heifer (which I hope is a girl. LOL) is a keeper. I'm never going to get these narrowed down, so it's off for more cages this weekend. :)

Sorry, Wendy was just trying to help. I thought this was what this forum was all about. So everyone could learn.

Geez so sorry I stepped on someone's toes with trying to help.

Some people should lighten up!

No need for apologies, K! We both learned something, which is the purpose of sharing information. :)

I'm about to place my order for more cages. Wonder if hubby would believe me if I said it was for groceries? LOL I'll just keep them until they're old enough to show, then see how they do on the table. Or sell off any that aren't show quality. It's hard to tell right now, since they're just bundles of fluff and wacky ears.

Perfecty honest, that's the advise I got from someone who actually shows Lion heads. It's better to wait until at least 4 months old, you get a better pic. I

Plus if you put them on the table, you might have others looking at your buns too for breeders and pets. You never know.

Can't wait to see how they do.

K:)
