A woman who works in shop in the same plaza as me sought out help rehoming her bunny. All I know so far is that the rabbit is less than a year old, female lop, and is friendly. They are moving, of course.
Having fostered for HRN in the past, I offered to help her out and contacted HRN, hoping I could foster the girl and they would handle the adoption. No such luck. I contacted House Rabbit Society, another rescue in MA/CT and haven't heard back yet. I have already decided to find this rabbit a home myself if a rescue will not assist, so I'm wondering if anyone here is looking for another bun. I would be willing to transport. I'm close to Boston, MA.
The rabbit is not yet spayed, but the owner will have this done and pay for it before she surrenders her. They are moving in about 2 months, so she may keep her until then. If I find a home before that, she may also be willing to surrender sooner. Because I don't have the rabbit yet, there are a lot of questions I can't answer, however I will get in touch with the current owner as soon as possible if anyone has questions.
