I got branches from an apple tree tonight from a friend, who got them from her mom's friend, braches with leaves and all.

so my question is what do i do, do the leaves have to come off? do they have to baked in t he oven before giving to them? should i cut down the branches to smaller sizes? should i cut off the smaller branches taht are sticking off with the leaves on them?

I had received some from a friend aswell and fed them just as they were. Though mine didn't have leaves. As long as you know where they came from and they are pesticide free and everything you shouldn't have to worry.

No, to all of the questions. The leaves are a favorite part - in Spring, the flowers are even better!

I usually cut twigs down to 6"-8" in length, just to keep from tripping over them, but there's no need if you've got room.

Apple is, as far as I know, the only tree whose branches can be given to bunnies right off the tree. Others should be allowed to dry for a month (and avoid cherry entirely).

woo hoo i havent given them to them yet, they are still in my car and i keep forgetting ti bring them out, lol. but i cant wait till i give them to them

Don't know for sure but aren't you supposd to wash them with something like the soap you use to wash veggies and then let them dry in case there is some larvae or insect or parasite in them ????
