Unfortunately, the day Athena died, a stormknocked out the power here. It took my computer down with it. So I amsorry I couldn't keep you updated.

My husband and son buried Athena yesterday. I wanted to go but I'vebeen really sick the past few days. As soon as I can I'm going to bringher flowers.

Apollo seems to be doing much better. I think he realizes that she'sgone. He isn't running aroung looking for her anymore. Athena's passinghas brought us closer together. Since that day, he's been doing thingshe's never really done alot of before. He follows me everywhere and Ido mean everywhere. He lays on the couch with me forlike anhour at a time now. Today he actually stretched out beside me and sleptfor almost 2 hours. He is always licking me now. And he wants me topick him up alot.

Thank you all for all your kindness and love. It has helped so much.

Tina,Dale(hubby),Jeremy(son) and Apollo

Thank you for being kind enough to provide this update, Tina.

I'm glad to hear that with your love and kindness that Apollois recovering as well as can be expected from his loss. It'sgood to read that you both are a comfort to each other.

You both still remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Hi dajeti2,

So glad you updated us on how he and you are doing. More than a coupleof posters on this board, including myself, have cried over Athena'spassing; it darkened their day, and you're still very much in ourthoughts.

It's amazing to me how quickly we get attached to each other's rabbitsand become fast friends. I felt foolish when I first cried over Athenabecause that nagging voice said, "Oh Stop It! You didn't even knowher!"

It wasn't until I received some personal notes that people said theyreally thought about it and they were really sad and cried that Ididn't feel so silly.

It helps all of us knowing that you felt our love and support and complete sympathy.

On a happier note, isn't that great that Apollo has become so attachedand clingy. He's obviously taking good care of you, and you of him.

You watch that little bugger! It's when you get all comfortable withthem and you think they're all sweet is when they have you woven intotheir web and before ya know it, your BunnyMommy: Admitting to being atreataholic, Sherman sneaking upstairs and instead of getting yelledat, they take pictures. I can see it now.

The evidence is in the pictures that BunnyMommy posted in the Prince Sherman thread.

Go see your future.

Well I must admit it has started already lol. Noanimals are allowed on the computer chair. It's leather and off limits.Well itwas .Apollo just looks so cute sitting here watching the screen.Itoo gave him a bit more treats than I normally do. I was soupset Sunday night that when I filled his water bowl, I forgot thevanilla. He took one sniff and looked at me like "you expect me todrink this* nope *I don't do plain water".

Tina,

Glad you're back and that Apollo seems to be rebounding well.I, too, was very saddened by Athena Bunny's departure because it seemedlike I "knew" her.

You and your family remain in our prayers.

Tina, Thank you so much for theupdate. You know thatit just takes time to ease thehurt. I do not think it ever really goes away but it doesseem to lesson and then you can think of some of the good memories andcute things that Athena did when she was alive.Yes,I admit that I cried too. There was so muchpain that came through your email. I also think that everyonethought of their own buns and considered how they would feel if theyhad come home and found their baby like you did. I guess weall know that one day it will happen to us too. That is justthe cycle of life. It is whathappens inlife, but it sure leaves uswith a deephurt. I am so sorry that you were alone when you found herlike that. Thank goodness you could come to the forum andexpress some of your pain. You and your family havebeen in my thoughtssince Sunday. TakeCare, Beckie

I am so glad to hear you are all ok, and that Apollo is feeling a little better. Funny about the leather chair.

We always said Jess would never be allowed on our bed.....um yeah, never say never...lol
