Hi Guys,

I was just wondered if anyone else had successfully used one of those automatic pet feeders for their rabbits.

We have 2 rabbits, however one of them is only 9 weeks old and we are going away for 2 nights.

I can ask my neighbour to come in and feed them (we have fed their cats in the past) but I'm worried because I know she'll bring her son, and I'd really prefer him not be handling the rabbits. He's not a gentle boy!

So I was thinking of getting some of those automatic feeders so they have a continuous food supply while we're away

We have a rotating one with 5 little covered trays for pellets. It runs on D batteries very well and rotates to an uncoved tray each day. Got at Petsmart

hmm i'd be worried leaving my boys away for that long...

after losing a rabbit SO quickly from GI stasis i'm ultra paranoid!

i'm sure an automatic feeder would work fine but maybe get a friend or family member to pop in once over the 2 days and check they've eaten, drank and pooped?
