Anyone seen Rent?

I love the musical Rent. I've been lucky enough to see it on stage twicewith student discount tickets. Man do I miss the college student theater discounts! I saw that the movie version of Rent is out on DVD now. How does it compare with the musical? Am I going to be disappointed, or is it good?

I havent seen the play (hope to see it soon with a friend of mine), but i saw the movie yesterday and thought it was great. I dunno, i just like the music

I was rather disappointed with the movie, but most critics seem to like it.
