I have three guinea pigs. Two females, Octaviaand Fungus (I'll quickly explain that onein one second), andone male, Julius. Octavia and Julius are a bonded pair for 5 years, andalready live in a giant cage and are quite content.
Fungus, however, lives on her own, and is a rescue with a lot of healthproblems. She got her name Fungus fromthe formerownerswho thought since she was always dirty, they'd call herFungus. Well, when I adopted her, she knew her name and everytime yousaid it, she'd come running just as happy as could be. So, I kept it.Unfortunately.
She lived in horrible conditions, in a cage meant for a hamster! One ofthose wired ones. Well, her "being dirty all the time"causeda skin fungus under her skin that I am still treating today. On top ofthat, she had an upper respiratory infection, toenail infection, eyeinfection, mange mites (which she is still receiving injections for),arthritis in her toes because her toenails were so overgrown they werefused together, and she had been bred so many times, her last twopregnancies were miscarriages.
ANYWAYS, that brings me to this:
Now that I have her, I'd love her for to be in a larger enviroment. She's already in a nice size cage, but I'd like something reallyspectacular. I've found idea's on the net and everything, but if anyonehere has guinea pigs, I'd really like to see what y'all keep yours in,and what their housing looks like.
