So I run on a treadmill at home for a work out and take walks outside, but I'm looking for something additional that will work up a good sweat. I'd like to try yoga.

Here is the site that I'm going to work off of:

But I was wondering if anyone else does yoga and had additional sites, better sites, or personal tips for me? Pictures would be a great help!

Thanks!

I do yoga and love it! I either do live classes at the gym or DVDs. I find books or websites too hard to work with. Part of the point is to be able to go within yourself and really feel how the muscles move etc. If I am stopping to flip pages or screens I personally find it very disruptive.

I suggest "Yoga for every body" or "yoga for inflexible bodies" as a starter DVD. They have beginner, intermediate, and advanced on each DVD. You can choose from different types and lengths of work outs. They are very well explained.

I also really like the crunch team "joy yoga" and "fat burning yoga" I have them on the same DVD. I originally had joy of yoga on tape and ended up wearing it out because I used it so much. Both of these have Sarah Ivanhoe as the instructor.

If you have the opportunity to take at least one class with a live instructor I highly recommend it. They can help you use the postures correctly. Tiny differences can make a huge difference and they can point out where you need to watch your alignment.

Feel free to pm any questions. I'm not an expert, but I have been doing yoga for almost 20 years (and I'm 36). A little yoga every day does the body a lot of good.
