Another oral surgey....

So, I had my 2 bottom wisdom teeth removed this June. It went ok I guess...expect I was awake, w/ no sedation, and just novacain for numbing. All was well and good until I had an instrument slip while they were trying to remove a tooth and it hit the back of my throat.

Fun times...:grumpy:

But wait, there's more!

So, go in yesterday w/ mouth pain. They take xrays. My upper left wisdom tooth needs to be removed pronto. And then I here from the NEW dentist I go to (since that lady hurt me) "Huh, what's that?" The 'that' he referred to on the xray is a small piece of broken metal lodged in my lower left jaw. Apparently, when that item 'slipped' when I had my last extraction, she broke off a piece of metal in my jaw!

So now I have to get THAT removed as well! Unbelievable! Does anyone else hear the word lawsuit?

Omg! Yeah. Definitely check into starting a case on this:shock:. You can also file a claim with ISDS.org I believe. That's awful and why the heck didn't you get some laughing gas? I do, I can't do it otherwise.

Good Luck with the extraction(s) and pursuing this suit.

Thanks for the info on the website. Well, I had the surgery yesterday. I'm really puffy and swollen (especially the lower jaw, where I guess it took a while to find the piece of metal), so now I'm just recouping. Drizzle was such a snuggler last night, so that helped.

wow thats awful! Do you have insurance or is this out of pocket?

I would definitely see about contacting a lawyer. A lot of those malpractice ones will do it for no fee up front, only if you win. Something to think about..

Well...we tried to settle it out of court, and they are offering me crap. So, I'm going to file a suit. I'm so nervous about this kind of stuff. Wish me luck.
