Annoying Doctors

Ok, so I have some health issues. One of which Ihad to wait 8 weeks to go in. That's right, as a new client I have towait 8 WEEKS! I made the appt in Dec and I'm going in Feb.

Anyway, so I went to the doc for a hurt back and some otherissues. I had a blood test to check a couple things, along w/ a bloodpregnancy test. I'm on BC (have been for 4 years) but I know a lot ofpeople who have gotten pregnant on them (actually the nurse who gave methe test had gotten pregnant on them as well). Took a home test, and itwas negative. But I was still having morning sickness, dizziness, weirdcravings, etc. So, the doc said, even though the test was negative andyou can get those same symptoms just from taking BP, he gave me a bloodtest. Now, mind you, I took the test on Sat. and they told me they'dhave the results in 24 hours. I'm still waiting for the result. Hewants me to make an appointment to COME IN to hear the result NEXTMONDAY! I told him that was unacceptable, as I've still been on thepill (you're not supposed to take itif you're pregnant). I'mstill waiting by the phone for him to call me back. I'm REALLY P.O'dand thinking that when I get these results, I'm calling my insuranceand switching my primary doctor.

Anyone else have health gripes?

That's bull. Is there someone elsethat you can get the info from? Nurse practitionermaybe? Hope you find out soon.

Uuhh, yeah, did you read my thread on dentists? Edit: someone just bumped it-he he.

Now, I went to the chiro today, I didn't get the one I made the apptw/, someone a friend of mine goes to, but,this one's reallynice and get this. I was checking out and the recept had togo ask how much the x-rays were and she comes back and says they're$190, but she was discounted it to $50 :shock:. That isweird. I wonder why.I go back tomorrow toreview them and an adjustment. I can't wait. Thisis a new doc b/c my last one sent me to collections so I can't gothere.

Oh and I have a dentist appt that I made almost 2 weeks ago, and it'snot til March 15! I hope they call me off a cancellationthough. I need lots of work done :nerves1, I hope this guy ispatient though or I'm in big trouble. I'll just have to grinand bear it somehow-I am THE biggest baby at the dentist. Idon't know how I'll get through a cleaning :dunno:. He'llprobably tell me I need a deep cleaning then I'll be numb, nitris maybetoo.

If you are pregnant, it may be that you aren'tfar enough along for the home test to show. I personally knew I waspregnant within a week. But had to wait longer for the test to show it.

I would call the dr back today and ask for the result. If they can'ttell you one way or another, then go somewhere else. It would be awfulto harm the fetus by continuing to take the pill and you sure don'twant to stop taking it until you know for sure.

Well he finally called back and it's negative!:bunnydance:It was like pulling teeth to get the result but at least I know now.

And it's ok, because I am not looking into getting pregnant quite yet.My husband and I are newlyweds and want to wait a couple more yearsbefore we start trying. But it's SO annoying not knowing.

And now, I have to wait until Monday to get my results of the other test (for thyroid and other possible issues...fun fun).
